Spicy beef burgers
SERVES 2
A saucy twist on the classic burger, this recipe is easy to scale up depending on how many people you're serving.
YOU WILL NEED
- 200g minced beef
- 1tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 2tbsp BBQ sauce, plus extra to drizzle (we used Sun Hee Korean BBQ sauce)
- 1 red onion, half chopped, half sliced
- 2 slices Cheddar cheese
- 2 burger buns, halved
- Handful of salad leaves
- 1 tomato, sliced
HOW TO DO IT
1 Heat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. In ginger and garlic paste, BBQ sauce, chopped onion, a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix together well, then divide into two burger patties.
2 Place the patties on a tray and cook A couple of mins before the end of cooking time, place a slice of Cheddar on top of each patty and put back in the oven to melt.
3 Lightly toast the burger buns and 3 bottom halves.
4 Once the patties are cooked, add to 4 onion and tomato.
5 Drizzle over a generous amount of lids and eat straight away.
