A NATION MOURNS

The Queen's children rushed to her side when she fell ill in Balmoral in September, just a few months after we'd celebrated her Platinum Jubilee. Her two eldest the then Prince Charles, 74, and Princess Anne, 72 - were there before she passed away. The family was joined in mourning across the globe as we said goodbye to our longest-reigning monarch. In his first address as King, Charles vowed to emulate his mother in 'lifelong service.'

ANDREW'S SECURITY SQUABBLE

Disgraced thanks to his association with convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein and the sexual assault allegations against him, which he denies, Prince Andrew was stripped of his military titles and royal patronages in January. And now reports have suggested that the Duke of York, 62, has been left 'furious' after learning that his £3 million a year tax-funded round-the-clock police protection could be removed. It's thought that the prince is considering appealing against any decision and writing to the Home Office.
