Loose Women’s Linda Robson on her tell-all autobiography and why she will never retire
SARAH LOUISE ROBERTSON
'I FEEL LIKE A WEIGHT HAS BEEN LIFTED'

The past few years have been challenging for Linda Robson to say the least. In November she revealed she’d split from her husband of 33 years, Mark Dunford, following a battle with alcohol and her mental health – a struggle Linda tells Woman’s Own she ‘never in a million years’ thought she would go through.

Now the former Birds of a Feather star, 66, is drawing a line under her past with the release of her new book, Truth Be Told: Tales From a Baggy Mouth, and is ready to start afresh. Here she tells us all about her plans, her friendships and why keeping busy is the key to her happiness.

You recently released your memoir. How did it feel laying everything bare?

It was good. It felt therapeutic and like a weight has been lifted. It’s 56 years this year that I’ve been in the business. It’s a long time – I was 10 when I started - and there were loads of things I’d forgotten.

Were your family and friends worried?

Not really because I gave them copies and they had certain things that if they didn’t like, they could say. I didn’t do it to upset people, I did it to be honest.

Have the Loose Women supported you – are you like a big family?

Absolutely.

What has the response been like?
