Just a few weeks ago, fans were questioning whether everything was OK between Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford after noticing that they rarely post about each other on social media any more. One even commented, ‘Sure they have split.’ Now, Eamonn has broken his silence, suggesting that he is unhappy.
Posting a selfie on Instagram, Eamonn – who has been battling chronic back pain for years now – wrote in the caption, ‘Don’t know why I’m smiling,’ to which a concerned fan commented, ‘You’re a happy person and a lot to be happy for, so smile.’ Eamonn then replied, ‘u would be surprised at the things that conspire to make me unhappy,’ followed by a sad-face emoji. It seems the presenter is struggling, so what’s making him so fed up?
A DIFFICULT TIME
Eamonn had a tough year last year, so it’s understandable he’s not feeling his best. The broadcaster, 63, had been suffering with chronic back pain, for which he had an operation, then he fell down the stairs at home and broke his shoulder shortly afterwards. And in November, Eamonn’s beloved mum, Josie, sadly passed away.

'THAT'S NOT MY BABY'
Lying in the hospital bed, my husband Michael had tears of happiness in his eyes as he showed me a photo on his phone. 'Here she is,' he said proudly. 'There must be a mistake.'It was August 2010 and I'd not long before had an emergency caesarean. I'd not had a chance to see Winnie when she arrived as she'd been whisked away for tests because she was nearly two months premature.
