FOREMAN KEITH ‘I’M ACTUALLY A BIG SOFTIE!’

He’s the no-nonsense ‘Blockinator’ at work, but at home they just call him Dad

Any fan of The Block knows the show’s resident foreman Keith Schleiger is in no way a pushover. “It’s my job. I’m going to follow what the engineers and builders tell me needs to happen. We have to make sure it’s all up to scratch. Safety and quality homes are the priority,” says the reality star, who denies he puts on his tough-guy persona. He insists he takes his responsibility on the Nine series very seriously, but things are a little different at home.

DADDY DEAREST

“They’re the boss,” he laughs of his two tween daughters, Ebony, 12, and Jasmin, 10, who he claims rule the roost at the Schleiger residence. “I’m a big softie when it comes to my daughters,” says the 52-year-old, who jokes he’s often dragged to the shops where his credit card is given a workout by his little ladies. Not that he minds, though. “My girls are everything to me,” says the devoted dad, who – when he isn’t hitting the mall – is running the pair between netball games.
