After years of turmoil, the actress' soap star father passes away 'in peace'

Jennifer Aniston praised her late father John Aniston as "one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew," as she announced the death of the soap legend on November 11.

Jen addressed him as "sweet papa" in the social media tribute, revealing she is "so grateful" that the 89-year-old TV star "went soaring into the heavens in peace and without pain." "I'll love you till the end of time," she sweetly ended her post.

Sources say a grieving Jen is now leaning on her ex-husband Justin Theroux, who has proven to be a loyal friend in recent years. Last month, Jen, 53, was snapped texting Justin, who revealed they continue to bring each other joy, despite ending their marriage in 2017.

Just five months ago, Jen presented John - best known for his 37-year-run as Days Of Our Lives' resident villain Victor Kiriakis - with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Daytime Emmys.

"This is truly a special moment for me," Jen said at the time. "It's an opportunity to not only pay tribute to a true icon in the daytime television world, but it's also a chance to recognise the lifelong achievements of a great and well-respected actor, who also happens to be my dad."
