"I'm currently filming a six-part drama series called Boat Story for BBC1, which was created by the writers of The Missing, Jack and Harry Williams. It too features French actor Tchéky Karyo [also the star of crime series Baptiste], who is wonderful to work with, so it's a very exciting piece to be involved in.
Sadly, some middle-aged women still feel it is harder to get acting roles, but luckily I haven't found that to be the case.
I think the whole classic canon was written at a time when a woman's position was much more domestically located, but nowadays we are doing the things that traditionally men have, so all those on-screen workplace dramas mean that the inclusion doesn't have to be a domestic one.
