“Changing my diet took getting used to, but it was worth it to save my health,” says Heather
Heather Wilson lay in her bed, unable to move. Please make this pain go away, she prayed as another horrific headache took hold. Heather’s suffering began in 2017, when she started getting severe hives, along with debilitating headaches, fatigue and cycles of vomiting and digestive issues.
Baffled, Heather made numerous trips to the doctor, and each time was given a different diagnosis —eczema, stress, irritable bowel syndrome—and offered medication for each. Unsatisfied, Heather declined prescriptions, but as months passed, she grew weary of trying over-the-counter creams, digestive aids and pain relievers that failed to offer relief.
Finally in 2019, a frustrated Heather began searching for a remedy online.
She read about and tried an elimination diet—whereby you eliminate items from your diet, then slowly reintroduce them one at a time to observe reactions.
