Rab Women's Ridgeline Long Sleeve Tee
£75, rab.equipment
What the brand says: This long-sleeved tee will keep you comfortable and protected during various outdoor activities in the coldest months, managing moisture while you focus on achieving your goals. Expertly balancing breathability and warmth, this go-faster base layer is built with a combination of fluorocarbon-free Motiv fabrics, body-mapped to effectively respond to your output and the conditions. An innovative technology uses recycled coffee grounds to increase the surface area of the yarn, allowing the tee to wick away sweat more efficiently and dry faster. Ultralight underarm panels absorb odours, keeping you fresh on the boldest ascents and trickiest terrain.
What we say: 'This is the lightest of all the tops I tested it barely weighs a thing, making it ideal for all those fitness holidays abroad. Special laser-cut vent holes in a "V" shape on the back of the neck, and in lines under each arm, encourage airflow. Plus, the deep front zip allows for more air should you need it. The collar is close-fitting to protect from wind. Surprisingly - considering its other well-thought-out features it doesn't have thumb loops, but the sleeves come halfway down my hands so I didn't mind this. The fit is loose I tried the 10, which gives plenty of space in the body, plus it comes down nice and low at the back, almost to the bottom of my bum, and that's saying something as I have a long body! You can tell this is designed by mountaineering people, as although it's vibrant, it's a functional rather than high fashion top, which is essentially what you want and need when out in the country. Plus, the orange will keep you visible. This is a keeper.'
