Its gut-churning footage shocked the living daylights out of people around the world as they stared at naked brutality take its ugly form on a hapless person. It showed a handcuffed Black American pinned to the pavement near the intersection of E 38th Street and Chicago Avenue with a white police officer’s knee on his neck.
