The October edition of GB&F looks at development planning in Ghana. You will know that since independence, Ghana implemented numerous development plans but many of them were abandoned, or delayed for financial reasons for political advantage. The article on Ghana’s quest for Eurobonds reveals a dent in its image has occurred when a second issue of US$1.5 billion Eurobonds was postponed.
Ghanaian women in science are a handful because many of them are deterred from pursuing a career in science at the highest level. But some women have broken the glass ceiling and excelled in science in Ghana and internationally. The much-hyped Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) may not deliver the new world economy as the old system of wealth ownership and accumulation persists.
There was euphoria in Kumasi with the announcement of the redevelopment of markets in the metropolis. It was envisaged that the numerous problems associated with markets would come to an end for SMES to operate smoothly. Yet the market redevelopment has turned out to create more complex problems.
GB&F’s special focus on immigration in Europe is intriguing. Solutions for the associated problems have been proffered. So, dear readers, enjoy the October edition of your must-read magazine.

Ghana Business & Finance (GB&F) is a national, award-winning indigenous monthly magazine focused on engaging Ghana’s business leaders, investors and policy makers in an ongoing discourse about the health of the Ghanaian economy. The magazine uncovers and discusses trends in the oil and gas sector. It questions and analyses the impact of new government policy on the private sector and it unwraps the challenges that face multinationals and SMEs alike which are striving to do business in the country.
The magazine circulates around the world and keeps the Ghanaian Diaspora abreast of what is going on back home. It does not repeat or supply the news, but GB&F provides in-depth research and case studies on what the potential outcomes of the news may be.
