Some say the third time is a charm and in this third issue we strive to deliver better contents faithful to the ForbesLife soul, the definitive destination for lifeâs finest indulgences. Boys will always be boys and cars will always be boyâs toys, so for this issue we present you several stories about some extravagant wheels.
The cover showcases Stanley Setia Atmadja and his classic cars, one of the finest collections in the country. We were given access to Stanleyâs recently completed dream home in Sentul that houses some of the best cars in his collection, such as his Jaguar E-Type Series 1. This particular car is so rare that the world record price for the car at auction reached almost half a million dollars.
We also include a story of the greatest Paul Newman race car collection owned by Adam Carolla, a U.S. comedian, actor, filmmaker, bestselling author and pioneer podcaster. We highlight as well the reintroduction of the iconic Ford GT and a collection of watches that are connected to some of the finest automotive brands. We also test drive the BMW M3, a perfect sports sedan.
For the travel section we focus on Jakarta, which this year is celebrating its 488th birthday. For travelers seeking for the finest accommodations in Jakarta we compiled 10 of the most expensive suites available in hotels here, where you can find a bed that spans 12 feet, bulletproof glass-equipped windows, or furnishings made from 100 year old teak.
Meanwhile for the fashion spread we gathered three entrepreneurs from the Indonesia Young Entrepreneur Association (HIPMI), who are also friends, for an intimate photo shoot. While proud of this edition, we are really looking forward to the next one, where we will celebrate our first anniversary.
