Highlights of Auto Bild dated June 5th, 2015. In this issue of AUTOBILD INDIA, we have a collection of head-to-head tests that will make your head spin. We’ve put the two Porsche SUVs against each other with surprising results, the new five-door Mini against its older prototype cousin and the Audi RS Q3 goes up against the Mercedes GLA45 AMG. The clincher – we see how the Ducati Scrambler fares against the Fiat 500X as a lifestyle vehicle. Closer home, news from VW sheds light on their future plans in India and it’s big. Highlights of the issue:- We’re well into summer now and this issue of AUTO BILD INDIA brings with it a healthy helping of red hot cars. Dive into our International section and read about a road-trip in very special Bugatti Veyron, smoking tyres in a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and a head-to-head between the McLaren 650S Spyder and the Corvette Z06. Highlights of Auto Bild dated May 5th, 2015. Welcome to another loaded issue of Auto Bild India. We have driven the BMW i8 which can be deemed as a properly ‘Back to the future’ car. Then we follow it up with the recently launched Mercedes-Benz CLS. In our Road Test section, we have compared the Hyundai i20 Active with its closest rivals, the Fiat Avventura and the Toyota Etios Cross. Let’s find out which is the best of the new age pseudo crossovers. Our motorcycle section comes with first rides of the hottest metal on two wheels as well. We ride the Pulsar RS 200 on a track and then travel thousands of kilometres to ride the Suzuki Gixxer SF on yet another track. Last but not the least we find out if the recently launched Honda Unicorn 160 is better than the Yamaha FZ-S and the Suzuki Gixxer. Highlights of Auto Bild dated April 20th, 2015.In the second issue of April, we get a glimpse of how Ford Aspire(s) to take on its rivals in the compact sedan segment. Porsche’s beautiful Boxster and Cayman twins are now available in a hotter GTS trim for the first time ever and they’re now available in India. JLR is taking the ‘Make in India’ policy seriously as the chic Range Rover Evoque can now be yours for much lesser due to local production. We were in a mood for fun this quarter so we actively participated in Hyundai’s launch of the i20’s newest variant and then went on to find out how surprising an S badge is with a Mini Cooper. Our ed took it a step further and went all the way to Finland to drive the latest Audi S5 while some more enjoyment was had here from the Cartier Vintage Rally and Nissan Carnival. But we do some serious number crunching with the Tata Bolt being compared to the Hyundai i20 and tally elaborate point sheets to determine the winners of the coveted Golden Steering Wheel. Oh wait, for the ones from the two-wheeled breed, Italian stallions are now trotting on Indian tarmac as Ducati and Benelli launch their eclectic line-up of motorcycles in India.

It’s April and we’re not fooling around because there was some serious work done like getting you the lowdown on VW’s exciting Polo-based SUV. The macho Renault Duster gets a host of updates under the skin while Hyundai proactively steps into the cross-hatchback segment with their new i20 Active. There’s a definitive sex appeal in the new Mini Cooper S while Mercedes updates the B-class in hope for a different kind of appeal. Someone told us that vans are cool so we try and find out by driving the new Renault Lodgy and then pitting the Datsun Go+ against the Honda Mobilio and Maruti-Suzuki Eeco. We also bring you all the glitz and glamour from the Geneva Motor Show and work hard to preview the star-studded line-up of this year’s Golden Steering Wheel Awards nominations. Meanwhile, there are two new Triumph Tigers on the prowl so we decide to get the big Indian Chieftain to scare them away. But some of us seek more thrilling adventures so we headed to the dunes of Rajasthan to stir up a hurricane in the Desert Storm 2015. Our chief lensman decides to get himself clicked so he saddles up on a Triumph Daytona 675R for some added style. Finally, we hang our boots for some new ones in our Products section.

The 5th December edition of AUTO BILD INDIA packs in a lot of punch as usual. We start with our Top Story where we give an exclusive sneak peak at the forthcoming Audi ‘Q’ range of SUVs. We follow it up by revealing the future of the Mercedes-Benz SUV line up along with an exclusive preview of the GLB concept. This hatchback from the Czech manufacturer hit off with Indian customers, but over the year’s Skoda-Auto’s parent company, VW, stripped it of its features as sales went down. Now, the new Fabia promises to be even better than it was in its earlier incarnation.

Automatic choice: Maruti-Suzuki has shaken up the automatic hatchback market with the launch of Celerio. The market response has been so overwhelming that there is a long waiting period on the delivery of the Celerio. This time Auto Bild India decided to pit the Maruti-Suzuki Celerio against the Honda Brio and Nissan Micra to see how Martui’s innovative approach of developing a low-cost automatic gearbox fares against the competition.  
Mercedes AMGs: Mercedes regularly gives high-performance AMG treatment to its popular models. This time it has given the AMG treatment to the ML-class and GL-class making the two SUVs even more outrageous in terms of power and performance.
Triple fun: The Street Triple with its 1,050cc engine and 136bhp of peak power is a true scorcher on the road.
Activa 125: After taking the crown of the largest-selling two wheeler in India, Honda gives the Activa a bigger engine, telescopic front suspension and front disc brake.

SUVs galore: As temperatures rise, the action in the Indian SUV segment too is heating up. We drive three new SUVs that will hit the road this summer. Read our exclusive first drive report of the Toyota Etios Cross. The Etios hatch looks much grown up with plenty of body cladding and skid plates. Should you think that the Cross is too soft for your taste then read about our drive report of the new BMW X5. The new X5 looks even more aggressive than before with performance and features to boot. Apart from that, we drive Porsche’s second SUV, Macan, which will be launched in India in July. This premium luxury compact SUV can handle any kind of terrain with aplomb.  

Petrol hatch match: We pit the immensely popular Hyundai Grand i10 in its petrol avatar against some of the big-daddies of the segment like the Ford Figo, Honda Brio and the evergreen Maruti-Suzuki Swift.

An unusual comparison: While leading an environmentally friendly lifestyle is socially responsible, but does it makes sense to buy an electric car in compared to a conventional petrol powered hatch. To find the answers we deiced to pit the Mahindra e2o against the Nissan Micra. 

High octane: After the first four races of the 2014 Formula One calendar out of the way, it’s clear that Mercedes is head and shoulders above the rest of the grid. We take a look at how the new technical regulations, which have been hailed as the biggest shakeup since modern Formula One began in 1950, impacted the sport.

Small is big: There is plenty of action taking place in the red-hot compact SUV segment. AUTO BILD INDIA has an exclusive story along with spy pictures of three new compact SUVs from three different manufacturers being tested. Hyundai, Fiat and Ssangyong are all working hard to put their compact SUVs on the road in 2014 and in all probability will come to India sooner than later. 

BMW unleashes more M power: Rahul Ghosh heads to Germany to drive the M6 Gran Coupe and comes back impressed. Those who are looking for performance as well as comfort won’t have to wait long as the M6 Gran Coupe will hit the Indian roads in April. 

Swiss delights: AUTO BILD INDIA editor, Yogendra Pratap, goes to Geneva to attend the 85th Geneva Motor Show. We have all the details and pictures from one of the most prestigious motor shows on earth.

A new tourer is born: Suzuki launches the Inazuma in India. Though, expensive, this 250cc parallel-twin motorcycle from Suzuki is at home both on the city and on the hingway making it ideal for touring. Kshitij Shama shares his experience. 

A unique road test: This time we have a test of a different kind. We pit the facelifted Skoda Superb against the Toyota Cakmry Hybrid, which comes equipped with petrol and electric motors.

Datsun rises: After more than 35 years the Datsun badge has been revived with the launch of the Go. The Go will be priced below Rs 4 lakh and is targeted at the mass-market. We have detailed report on the first drive of the Go, which has impressed us with it ride dynamics, handling and performance to say the least. 

Mini gets bigger: The iconic British marquee, the Mini Cooper just got better with the third-generation of the car. It’s not bigger than the outgoing model, it drives better and feels plusher on the inside. Auto Bild India editor, Yogendra Pratap, goes all the way to the US island of Puerto Rico to drive the third-generation of the Mini Cooper and the Cooper S. 

Terrain tamer: We drive the mighty impressive, Polaris RZR XP 900, which leaves us spellbound with its ability to take on any type of terrain. Kingshuk Dutta heads to the outskirts of Faridabad to give the latest Polaris ATV in the country a sound thrashing.
