These days life feels like a roller coaster ride, where I am busy managing many roles in my personal and professional space, and then flying down to Mumbai for the cover shoot and overlooking the sea waves from the hotel room brought me some peace and also made me understand the value of much-needed "ME Time". These introspections and breaks are as important as work because they help us evaluate, reevaluate, and reorganize our priorities. I guess after a long time I began the New Year at home and the credit goes to the pandemic. On a brighter note, I felt really good and I guess that’s the beauty of this chaos, as it made us realize the magic of our comfort zone that lies back at home and nothing in this world can replace it. Having said that, stepping out of the comfort zone is actually where the success lies and the biggest example of it is our 2021 cover man- Chef Vikas Khanna, who has been touching a million lives during the lockdown. I recently had a Zoom call interview with him and his vision speaks a lot about his actions. I have been working with close-knit with this industry and I feel talent is supreme, period! While this case has taken many shapes and forms in the last 60 days, all we can pray is, justice prevails. Sushant’s journey as a television artist and then as a young face of Hindi cinema was surely an inspiration to many and I guess that is the first thing he will be remembered for, in the coming time. The reason I decided to put in these words is that while scrolling on social media, all I can see is hashtags trending for the justice of his demise and I thought to tell you, that it is important for all of us to be united for a change and it’s not far. Any change can happen, only if we are ready for it. Just like Shivin Narang’s willingness to overcome his fear and even Darshan Rawal’s willpower to make it big in the music industry. I generally prefer to write Editor’s Note at my desk back in Delhi, but sometimes it is good to break the monotony. This time I broke it after watching a recent video on Facebook, which reminded me that we are two weeks away from the International Women’s Day. At the moment, I am on my way for a brand meeting and the video reminded me of the lines of Melinda Gates that says, “A woman with a voice is by definition a strong woman. But the search to find that voice can be remarkably difficult.” Thank god, we are not in the age, and today our women have not only raised the voice, but have also marked their presence in all walks of life. One such woman is our cover girl for the month of March, who is known for her power-packed performances, dancing skills and now a strategic entrepreneur too. I am sure that time is changing and the future will see many more such women and we as a nation will feel proud of them.
