The Tatler Dining Guide 2023 is the largest book we have put together to date, packed with a wealth of insights and scrumptious discoveries that you must not miss! This year is the first time since the pandemic that we have brought back dine-in reviews. With the help of a re-vamped list of reviewers, the Tatler Dining team tried, tested, reviewed, and yes, even vetoed restaurants in order to create a strong, and impactful list for our readers.

as decided upon by the Tatler Dining editorial team and a panel of
esteemed voters comprised of F&B industry experts and well-known food authorities. We also proudly reveal our seven special awards which recognise the best of class in the Philippine dining scene.

Tatler Philippines brings back the pocket guide to the finest restaurants in the country, which is now called as The Tatler Dining Guide. This 2022 edition is not based on dine-in reviews as in the years past, but rely on the experience and recommendations of experts and aficionados to bring together a comprehensive listing of the best restaurants and bars in the Philippines.

In this volume, we tried and tested the best rosés and warm weather sips for you in Think Pink, and Summer Wines, respectively. In From Pots to Pages, we recommend
four Filipino-produced books that should be on your shelves (or in your kitchen!). Lastly, we had a good look at the country’s most beautiful ancestral properties, which have either been turned into restaurants or charming event spaces in Dine Down Memory Lane.

For a quick and easy reference to the overall dining experience of the 203 restaurants listed in this guide (it must be mentioned this is the most we’ve had ever!), each restaurant has been rated in four key areas—setting, food, wine, and service. The system is employed year-round by all T.Dining reviewers, whether they are appraising a restaurant for the guide or for the latest review published on Philtatlerdining.com.

In this 15th edition of T.Dining’s Best Restaurant Guide (BRG), we left no culinary stone unturned, diligently exploring the Philippines’ dining landscape, from swanky white table-clothed establishments to casual cafés and delis, and all the true blue bistros in between. We also ran through the entire gamut of the country’s best bars, starting with the sexiest speakeasies to sky-high venues with a dizzying view. 

Moving onto the guide, for a quick and easy reference to the overall dining experience of the 173 restaurants listed, each restaurant has been rated in four key areas—setting, food, wine, and service. The ratings are displayed at the bottom of each review through the use of easy-to-read symbols. These are rated on a scale of one to 10, and take into account a myriad of factors related to the dining experience.

For 14 years, Philippine Tatler’s definitive guide to the country’s dynamic culinary scene has been on the shelf of every gourmand, oenophile and discerning sophisticate. This year, the Best Restaurants Guide (BRG) is back with a well-curated list of the Philippines’ best restaurants and bars, as well as must-try dining establishments and up and coming trends and products. The latest edition comprises reviews of 173 restaurants covering a diverse mix of cuisines. Besides the annual unveiling of the Top 20 restaurants, we added four speciality "Best Of Class" awards. What’s more in this year’s edition? A round up of the top 10 wines of 2017 by esteemed wine critic, James Suckling, a review of No.3 London Dry and Ungava gins, and a list of some of the best local craft beers and where to find them. Moreover, we tried and tested the best third wave cafés in the metro and got up close and personal with some of Philippine Tatler’s culinary Gen T-lister influencers.

Now on its 13th year, the Philippine Tatler Best Restaurants Guide presents a well-deserving list of 172 culinary gems (whether fine dining or casual chic establishments) across every cuisine classification imaginable.

For starters, wine and cigar critic and European Bureau Chief of Wine Spectator, James Suckling, takes us on a heady Tuscan trip and picks his favourite reds and whites from the region.
