When the going gets tough, the tough get going! In this issue we offer multiple examples of our readers’ triumphs over troubles. Whether it’s surviving a parent’s job loss, figuring out a way to sidestep a calamity, or dealing with a personal challenge, the American spirit of overcoming the odds is alive and well between these pages.
· Easter adventures! Easter was an exciting time to hunt for eggs and treasure our homemade treats. Dressed in our Sunday best, we couldn't wait to see what the Easter bunny had in store for us.
· Batter up! We also offer a glimpse into the baseball dreams of our childhoods—some were fulfilled, some ended up being a swing and a miss. No matter, we enjoyed the game any which way it was played.
· Wash and dry! In a nod to the changing seasons, we round out the issue with a rundown of spring-cleaning chores, back when it could take days or weeks to accomplish the old-fashioned way.
