A Brooksville woman creates a stockpile of medical equipment that can be loaned to anyone for free. And George Stevens Academy celebrates its fall student-athletes.

There were plenty of questions but no answers when 200 people showed up at a hearing about the future of three dams crucial to regulating local water levels. Meanwhile, vandals ruin it for everyone, as Blue Hill is forced to install security cameras at Town Park. On a happier note, the chamber of commerce sets a date for its annual tree lighting ceremony in Blue Hill. Residents have engaged in talks with a developer to try to save the Salt Pond blueberry barren. And George Stevens Academy students record oral histories of iconic Blue Hill Mountain.

The Brooksville school board throws it into reverse, pulling out of a grant to purchase an electric school bus. The George Stevens Academy boys soccer team snags second place at the regional finals. George Stevens Academy is in the spotlight this week, as the academy announces a return to its homestay model for housing international students, and a new head of school shares his aspirations for the upcoming school year. We close out our June coverage with a special Coming Events focus: a comprehensive preview of all of the Independence Day activities planned for our coverage area.
