Over the last year, the team here at VOLO Magazine has been studying the men’s magazine market to study magazines that are posing a significant challenge to the top 3 Maxim, GQ and FHM... And to our surprise we found that there exists an incredibly large chasm between the 100’s of ‘Men’s Magazines’ on the Apple Newsstand and the top 3. This ‘Chasm’ is something that the silicon valley is very aware of. It’s a prevalent phenomenon in the software business and is primarily driven by user adoption trends. However, in the men’s magazine business, we noticed that ‘The Chasm’ was a major QUALITY DIFFERENTIAL... The 3
top magazines were way ahead of their online only competitors in quality of content, layout and photography. We could find no reason, to get a subscription to any of the newcomers after buying a few individual copies.

We could have done a ‘cold cover’ for the December issue of the magazine, but we decided to do what we do best... Break the rules and shoot a cover set in Australia, where it is summer in December. Magazines like ours are not tied to any country or any time zone. We have readers from around the world and we produce content around the world, thus bringing you what is MOST GLAM at any time, anywhere right to your favorite internet enabled mobile device.

This is our final issue of VOLOGLAM for 2015 and we decided to create an explosive issue which should leave you with great expectations from us for 2016.

Miss Tina Louise graces the cover of VOLOGLAM  1507 marking the first time we have picked a cover-model based on her Instagram fame... And it’s just a natural evolution of things as Instagram has now become the single largest medium for the dispersal of visual content bypassing the reach of all the top magazines combined. Almost 860,000 people follow Miss Tina Louise (@miss_tina_louise) on Instagram, a number sure to grow after her appearance on the GLAM cover.
We also have some really astounding Instagram statis-tics of our own. The photographer of our cover set James Thompson is a young man who likes to party and take amazing pictures. We discovered him about 6 weeks ago and shared one of his pictures and that picture has racked up 77,000 likes of its own on the @vologlam feed. It’s the single most successful image on our feed and it left no doubts in our mind to offer him the cover for this issue.

This is the first monthly issue of VOLOGLAM, the first time that this magazine has been put together by the team in less than a months time. I want to start out by congratulat-ing everyone in the team who have pulled extra hours and countless sleepless nights to make sure that this happens. The cover of this issue is none other than Melissa Lori, one of the most determined and professional upcoming female models in the industry today.
This issue of GLAM brings together some of our most trusted models and photographers and provides some in-credible photography and editorials on its pages. We feature models from USA, Canada, Switzerland and Spain in this issue... Making this one of the most glamour loaded issue of VOLOGLAM ever.

We are blessed to feature another stunning woman on the cover in this issue!  Kaitlynn Anderson is my personal discovery on Instagram and I hope you like everything about this absolutely gorgeous lady. 

I know that many of you will have strong feelings about the cover image of this issue. Those feelings could be positive or negative...But as long as you feel strongly about the cover - we have achieved our objective. There was a huge internal debate on selecting the cover for this issue and every female member of the team voted for the cover you see here, since female outnumber males in the VOLO team by a ratio of 3 to 1, it was also the majority vote by default. 

We spent a lot of time on the layout of this issue, we would love your feedback on that. Gorgeous layouts make great content even better and we at VOLO Magazine want to create layouts that will be better than the best out there...While producing a magazine that will always keep you guessing and waiting for the next issue..

VOLOGLAM is now in its 3rd issue. This magazine is the result of incredible teamwork between an international team consisting of photographers, writers, stylists and producers. The great thing is that our efforts have been rewarded with instant recognition among the affluent and the bold. Though we are a bi-monthly magazine at this time, we are still able to hold our position among the top 5 lifestyle magazines on the Zinio.com Newsstand. 

Thanks to all our readers and fans for making this happen, all we can say is that in true VOLO tradition, you can expect the magazine to get better over time. We are ironing out our flaws and adding new team members every day. There will be a lot more columns coming into the magazine.
