Live footage from in the saddle will enhance viewers’ appreciation of the adrenalinfuelled sport, says series organiser
REAL-time footage from riders’ perspective has been aired for the first time during coverage of the Event Rider Masters (ERM).
Remote controlled cameras, attached to the shoulder of the riders’ body protectors, were worn during the cross-country at the Haras de Jardy leg of the ERM series (15-16 July).
Paul Tapner, ERM digital technical coordinator and four star rider, said the use of live rider cameras was a “ground-breaking” move for eventing.
“We are an adrenalin sport and we need to try to convey that,” he told H&H. “It’s so crucial to the future of eventing.
