A FORMER Volvo dealer plans to use his marketing experience to broaden the global appeal of Welsh cobs and ponies.
Ifor Lloyd, the new president of the Welsh Cob and Pony Society, said that although Welsh ponies and cobs have been exported to 18 countries he believes “more needs to be done” to promote the breeds.
Mr Lloyd drew parallels with his career in the car trade to show the importance of marketing.
