Rocks, Ravines, Rivers and Routes

A series of exhibitions opened earlier this year at Akar Prakar at various venues to celebrate the late S.H. Raza’s 100th birthday. From Jayashree Chakravarty to Ganesh Haloi and Manish Pushkale, the chosen artists had engaged with abstraction and in some cases, broken new ground. A show by Raza titled Dance of the Elements was also mounted at Akar Prakar, New Delhi, in collaboration with the Raza Foundation from the 19th of February to the 14th of March, while Tracing the Cartographer’s Trail by Manish Pushkale was held at the same venue from the 20th of March to the 7th of May.
