Erick Yambao is the landscape architect who founded Plontur, and serves as its head and design director. For him, design is a medium to evoke feelings, challenge mindsets, test theories, and set new standards. Through landscapes, he wants to give spaces an identity that shapes not just the way people move, but also the way they live and think. Yambao has worked on many notable residential, institutional, and commercial projects that have been featured in different books, magazines, and blogs.
As a landscape architect, Erick Yambao sticks to a specific style and makes use of a varied design language to be able to adapt to what the client wants and the architects he works with. Early 2016, he established his own firm Plontur, and there he combines design and construction to become a viable business. "For residential gardens, we approach it in a simple and straightforward way that is aligned with how the architecture of the structure," he says. "For large scale planning and design, Plontur tends to gravitate towards what we think is future-proof and inspired by a concept that is authentic to the site," he furthers.
