The mission to strengthen the position of the best of French design and its leadership role in global interiors was evident throughout the exhibition halls, from room fragrances to furniture.
The organisers, too, sought to honour up-andcoming young French design stars in the Rising Talents show – which is usually used to promote designers from emerging markets like China or the Middle East. Adrien Garcia, Julie Richoz, Laureline Galliot, Mathieu Peyroulet Ghilini, Natacha +Sacha and Wendy Andreu are among the new star French designers on the M+O radar.
However, the patriotic organisers opted to go for a fuller French flavour this season, to send a strong message about the continued importance of the country’s interior industry to the global market.
