India's electrification journey is expected to make significant strides in the first and last-mile mobility, and in the two-and three-wheeler segment. This is where Delhi-based Euler Motors is working on a plan to enable it to play a key role in this domain.
Founded in 2018 by Saurav Kumar who is CEO, the Delhi-based Euler Motors, a commercial electric vehicle startup has been working on indigenously designing the electric vehicle right from the lithium-ion battery pack and motor to controllers and electronics all aimed at ensuring that its vehicles are ready for all Indian climate and road conditions.
The four-year-old start-up had initially planned to launch its first product in 2020 but as was the case globally, it met with several disruptions and faced delays due to Covid. Finally, on October 27, 2021, the company launched its first cargo three-wheeler, the HiLoad EV at Rs 349,000.
According to the company, the HiLoad has the highest payload capacity in the three-wheeler cargo segment in India (and that is including ICE), battery power (12.4 kWh) and certified range of 151km on a single charge. In terms of the battery pack, the vehicle has an inbuilt thermal management system and liquid cooling, which allows the vehicle to run efficiently on any gradient and withstand ambient temperatures. As a result, this gives the vehicle a long-lasting battery life. The IP67-certified battery ensures superior performance and efficient operations in waterlogging conditions as well. The vehicle is also equipped with advanced telematics and software for fleet tracking, battery monitoring and real-time charging.
Charged up!
Euler Motors has been working on developing its electric three-wheeler since 2019.
The startup claims its e-3W is the only vehicle in its segment to feature liquid-cooled battery pack.
