When Will Bryan was looking for a truck to move his customer’s high-end cars, including such as Porsche, Bentley and Ferrari. He knew that an open trailer just wouldn’t be suitable, so he went searching for an alternative. He found a German company called Algema, who have been building dedicated vehicles since the 1980s in their factory in Tuntenhausen. Will liked their products so much that his company, Wabtec Developments, based in High Peak, Derbyshire, became their only UK agent. The company specialise in working on Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Ferrari products, but have experience in working on cars from all major manufacturers and have even been involved with Offshore powerboats. Will gained his experience with a couple of Ferrari and Porsche racing teams, but he always had the desire to set up his own business, he’s not keen on taking orders. The company has gone from strength to strength, with Will’s wife, Ellie, joining, to keep track of the accounts and make sure things go the way they should in the workshop. They not only perform regular servicing but can also help with restoration and have decided to focus their attention on older vehicles, whose owners might be having difficulties locating a suitable garage. For example, the Porsche 944 in the photos is a customer’s car that is destined to be a dedicated track day weapon. It will feature a 500bhp, 3.0 litre, turbocharged engine, with a sequential gearbox, it’s also going to be super lightweight, yet still include a wide body kit.
