Re-defined and reimagined, the new look London Boat Show may be shorter in duration, but it’s promising more of a spectacle than ever before. We preview what’s in store

The London Boat Show has been continually evolving each year, more or less since it began in 1955. This year, however, there is significant change afoot, which organisers say is the biggest shake-up of the event since the move to ExCel in London back in 2004.

The show, which takes place in early January and, as such, sets the tone for much of the year across a broad range of maritime areas, will now take place over a five-day period whereas previously it covered 10.

Add the dates to your diary now: Wednesday 10 to Sunday 14 January, the show is open daily from 10am to 6pm, with a special late night opening on Thursday until 8pm.
