Mehul Dani: Which are the different types of tests conducted by your organization for new recruitment and for promotion of existing employees in the current FY? How these tests have changed in the last 3 years? Are there any specific psychometric tests held?
Chander Mohan Minocha: In order to recruit appropriate manpower having requisite skills and mindset for the job, it is necessary to have the right kind of assessment system. Therefore, a focused assessment mechanism is adopted for testing of knowledge, skills, aptitude, etc, which could involve aptitude & IQ tests, skill and knowledge test, personality test through psychometric evaluation and behaviors through interviews, group discussion, etc. For recruitment drive, the bank is outsourcing services of leadings service provider for conducting exams i.e. IBPS/TCS for conducting written test, wherein the tests are conducted with utmost confidentiality and transparency. Though we conduct group discussion and personal interviews in promotion of existing employees, psychometric tests are not done in promotion process for the past 3 years.
