Stan Lee, the creator and co-creator of numerous celebrated characters belonging to the Marvel Universe passed away last month aged 95 in Los Angeles, US.
He was a writer, editor, cartoonist, entrepreneur. Lee, who grew with the puny idea of pursuing a creative path in life, wanted to become an accomplished writer initially. He did become one, not for serious literature though, but for pulp-fiction.
Lee is credited for reviving the American comics scene during the 1960s. This was the time when the world of comics was beginning to get weary of good old superheros such as Batman and Superman. The world needed new superheroes and Lee — brimming with some fresh ideas — gave them just that.
