Hospitality 2.0 With Robots

Anyone who has read author Issac Asimov works cannot fail to be enthralled by the possibilities and potential that the robotic age promises. Not since the industrial revolution did the world look forward to an era when machines will took over most of the menial tasks done by men.

In industries where manpower is used for repetitive tasks, can robotic devices be introduced so that these workers can be transitioned to other jobs? Rajeev Karwal, founder and CEO of Milagrow would like to make this a reality. And he thinks that the time for this revolution is not in the future, but right now.

How can robotic devices help hospitality organisations, time share properties and facilities management companies improve profitability?

Robots save on manpower and energy consumption to directly contribute to the bottom-line. They are also environment friendly and save on water, chemicals, noise and air pollution etc. Let’s take the example of of swimming pools at the hotels. Usually it is serviced by a person by hand held a suction vacuuming pump. This is an inefficient, slow, cumbersome and man power intensive process. Our Pool Robots clean a swimming pool's walls and floor in a very precise Z pattern. The staffer has to just leave the robot in the pool and proceed to finish other chores. The robot cleans the pool on its own. Our results tell us that the manpower saving is almost 70% in the hotels which are using our robots.

Also, since the pool robot moves on its own, the filtration plant can be switched off. So, you save a significant amount of electricity, chemicals and water. The effective payback period for the product is less than two months.
