In 1967, Yafa Brands CEO Yair Greenberg moved to Los Angeles, California to study business administration at California State University, a subject not yet available for study in his young homeland of Israel. Fifty-five years later, that ambition has reached full fruition. Currently, Yafa is the exclusive distributor of 13 distinct brands including Delta, Nettuno 1911, and Maiora; Germany's Diplomat; Italy's Pineider, Stipula, Tibaldi, and Marlen; and U.S. brands Conklin, Monteverde USA, and Private Reserve Ink, which Yafa also owns and produces.

These days, Greenberg is placing much of his focus on ramped-up production of his own brands. Yafa's purchase of Private Reserve Inks makes the company one of the largest providers of fountain pen inks in the world, including the new Private Reserve Neon Inks collection in this issue's "now" section. For more on Yafa Brands inks, see the August 2021 issue of Pen World (Vol. 34 No. 5, “To Inkfinity...and beyond!").
