Construction equipment company, CASE India, has adopted the use of technological advancements like eagle eye telematics, electronic engines, AI for manufacturing of equipment range and to enhance operational efficiency.
Ajay Aneja, Brand Leader, CASE India in a freewheeling interview to Ritwik Sinha of Steel Insights discusses company’s growth plans going forward.

Briefly give us an overview of the road construction equipment industry, the latest technology trends and the current business drivers? What are the road equipment currently most in demand?
The construction equipment (CE) segment has been growing at a rapid pace over the past three years (CAGR of 17 percent CY16-18E). Due to the adequate pipeline of national and state highways the road construction equipment industry has witnessed sufficed growth and post elections will see more stabilised growth
Moreover technologies like IoT, AI and advanced controlling have supported the market growth of CE. Furthermore rental and financing CE market has driven the business demand.
All the road construction equipment including Compactors and Motor graders are in high demand.
What are the key demand drivers of earthmoving equipment?
Government’s focus has been a lot on the roads and highways segment and we have seen significant development in this sector. Projects like Sagarmala and Bharatmala are a result of that. Increased infrastructure, growing construction demand, real estate sector and regular bidding of projects are some of the crucial drivers for earthmoving equipment demand.
