Cheryl's Fears Over Liam's ‘New Woman

As she contemplates her next chapter, pals say newly single Cheryl is dreading ex-boyfriend Liam Payne being pictured with another love interest.

In the wake of her shock split from Liam Payne two weeks ago, Cheryl made a bold return to the spotlight last week – attending Simon Cowell’s summer party in a bright orange dress.

And insiders say the 35 year old – who welcomed son Bear last March – is already worried about the potential fallout when Liam, 24, moves on with another woman.

A source says, “Cheryl has tried hard to put on a brave face since the split and has been keeping busy. She wanted to be seen out at the party as she didn’t like the idea of people assuming she was laying low. 

“Friends are concerned she’s nervous about the idea of Liam being pictured with a new woman and the publicity that will involve.”

A HARD TIME 

The source adds, “While Cheryl’s accepted they’re not meant to be together, no one finds it easy when an ex moves on, especially when they’re both in the public eye. Cheryl had hoped she’d found her happy ending with Liam – especially when they had Bear. So pals wouldn’t be surprised if him finding that happy ending with another woman would be hard for her (as it would be for anyone). Cheryl knows Liam is young and good-looking with a flock of female admirers. Her inner circle worry how she might feel if he’s spotted with a new woman so soon after their break-up.”
