While Mark Wright pins his hopes on a prime-time job back on British TV, pals say Michelle Keegan hopes it’ll mark a fresh chapter in their marriage
He made his UK television comeback last week with a guest presenting role on This Morning alongside Mollie King, after over a year based in LA hosting American show Extra.
And insiders say Mark Wright’s return to UK screens has come as a relief to wife Michelle Keegan after she’d been feeling the strain of their long-distance marriage.
A source tells Closer, “It’s no secret Michelle’s been growing tired of the constant distance between her and Mark, which has put pressure on their relationship. After some honest talks, Mark said he’d be open to working back in the UK, so they could spend more time together – agreeing their marriage was paramount over everything.”
Last week, it was revealed that Michelle, 31 – who spent months away at a time in South Africa filming two series of Our Girl – had landed a role in a new Sky One comedy, Brassic, meaning she’ll be based back in the UK permanently, too.
