Congratulations on the launch of Izaya! Please tell us a little about the concept...
“Thank you very much! Initially, I felt that there was a need of a high quality Thai and Malaysian food restaurant, especially in South Mumbai. My philosophy has always been simple, to give the best value in food and ambience to the diner. I decided to take it a step further as on a recce trip to Thailand and Malaysia, I realised that a lot of their cooking is done on coal and wood so I decided to introduce the Robatayaki concept using Thai and Malay flavours.”
You have mastered the art of Far Eastern, Mediterranean and Spanish cuisines in your other restaurants (Joss, Umame, Amadeus etc) and Izaya offers a delectable spread of Thai food... what is the USP of this restaurant in particular?
