Alarming accusations emerge amid growing fears and tears for Ms Spears

Britney Spears’s April 3 Instagram post was short and to the point: “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time’.”

Coinciding with reports that the 37-year-old had checked into a wellness facility in the wake of her dad Jamie’s declining health, the message earned her kudos for being proactive about her problems. However, not everyone was persuaded it was Britney’s choice to seek treatment.

Indeed, fans are convinced Brit was being held against her will – and her mum, Lynne, added fuel to the fire by reportedly liking several “#FreeBritney” posts recently.

Adding to concerns about her wellbeing, Brit looked dishevelled when spotted for the first time since supposedly voluntarily admitting herself a month ago. Guarded by her boyfriend Sam Asghari, the singer was spotted at the Montage Beverly Hills hotel on April 22 – reportedly on day release from the facility.
