Maura ‘couldn't handle' Giovanni's ‘chemistry' with Rose

As Maura Higgins comes to terms with their split, Strictly star Giovanni Pernice tells pals he only wants to concentrate on winning the show with partner Rose

Maura Higgins was believed to be nursing a broken heart last week after Strictly star Giovanni Pernice reportedly ended their relationship so he could focus on winning the show with his partner Rose Ayling-Ellis.

Pals revealed the professional dancer called it quits so he could throw himself into his work in the hopes of being crowned Strictly champion with his EastEnders partner Rose.

“Giovanni is taking this really seriously,” our source told us. “He’s got a great relationship with Rose. They are doing incredibly well and getting so much love.”

Many couples taking part in the show over the years have talked about how they find themselves in a Glitterball bubble, and it seems Giovanni, 31, and Rose, 26, are no exception, with our source telling us Maura felt left out in the cold.
