No one loves Christmas more than Sam Bailey. The former X Factor winner started her shopping in July and put her first decorations up in September, not to mention decking out the pub she created in her garden during lockdown.
“It’s been a tough year for everyone so I just wanted to start really early. I’ve had enough of this s**t show of a year,” laughs Sam, 43.
As well as being in the middle of a pandemic, Sam also had to come to terms with her son Tommy, 11, being diagnosed with autism in the summer, something she spoke about during a tearful interview on Loose Women.
Here, the singer, who also has Brooke, 15, and Miley, six, with husband Craig, talks Christmas, her guilt over Tommy’s diagnosis, and why she reckons former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans are the real deal…
