After taking his advice, it’s been a slow and steady rise for the 33-year-old former banker, who also quickly turned to acting and is now wowing audiences as leading lady in crime drama Queen & Slim, directed by Melina Matsoukas (the woman behind Beyoncé’s Formation video).

And it isn’t just the critically acclaimed new role that has people talking. Turning heads as she arrived at the 2020 BAFTAs in London on the arm of her husband, Dawson’s Creek star Joshua Jackson, 41, the pregnant star exuded glamour in a flowing, sequinned yellow dress that skimmed her blossoming bump effortlessly.
