HOLLYWOOD ICONS GOLDIE HAWN AND KURT RUSSELL ON CELEBRATING THE FESTIVE PERIOD STAYING POSITIVE AND KEEPING YOUNG

‘CHRISTMAS IS FOR THE CHILD IN YOU'
They have one of Hollywood’s most enduring relationships, so when it comes to Christmas, both Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell naturally agree it’s all about family.

The ever-youthful Goldie, 75, who has appeared in movies such as The First Wives Club and Private Benjamin, has been with Once Upon A Time In… Hollywood star Kurt, 69, for an astonishing 38 years – and they still have no plans to marry!

Together they share son Wyatt, 34, and Goldie is also mum to 41-year-old actress Kate Hudson and actor Oliver, 44, from her first marriage, while Kurt is also dad to Boston, 40, from a previous relationship.

So, when it comes to the festivities, along with their six grandchildren – their seventh due on Christmas Day – there’s a lot to do!

Here, the happy pair talk about their plans for the holidays, their new movie The Christmas Chronicles 2 and how to keep positive during tough times…

What does Christmas Day look like in the Hawn-Russell household?

Goldie: We’re a traditional family. I do a big Christmas dinner and we see Santa Claus. The guy sitting next to me [Kurt] has been playing Santa for a long time, so it’s always good fun. The night before Christmas we hang up our stockings. It’s very sweet.

Kurt: We always have somebody read The Night Before Christmas to get us into the Christmas spirit.

Has Christmas evolved in your home?
