It is extremely rare to see members of the royal family at the bank, but this week the Prince of Wales and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall were spotted on a visit to one. The couple were in fact on a royal engagement at the Bank of England’s London headquarters, where they met with its governor, Andrew Bailey, to highlight the bank’s role in supporting the national economy through the Covid-19 crisis.
