THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE INDULGED HER INNER CHILD DURING A SOLO TOUR OF DENMARK

After a relaxing half term with her family, it was back to business last week for the Duchess of Cambridge. Kate jetted out to Denmark for a two-day solo visit to better understand their world-leading approach to early years development and to promote her own work in this area, specifically her Centre for Early Childhood.

But it wasn’t all work and no play. The duchess also showcased her fun side, paying a visit to the Lego Foundation Play Lab in Copenhagen, where she screamed with laughter as she whizzed down a tube slide. She also embraced the outdoors, which is a central pillar of education in Denmark, going on a woodland ramble and chopping logs at the Stenurten Forest Kindergarten. And, once again, our future queen – whose outfit matched the colours of the Danish flag – executed all of her engagements faultlessly, as noted by royal expert Jennie Bond.

She says, “This is a great match for her. The Danish are pioneers in schooling, which is very much in tune with Kate’s interests. We know that she also loves to be outside and get her hands dirty and it was lovely to see her fun side as she came down that slide, too. She knew that it was going to make a good picture, but she also seemed to just really enjoy it.”
