“We uncoupled because we wanted to try to do it in a way that would be the least traumatic for the children. And it took a lot of work at the time, but I think it really paid off. My ex and I are really close,” she says of the former Coldplay frontman, who is now dating actress Dakota Johnson, 30.
Gwyneth has spent lockdown at her home in Los Angeles with her husband, 49-year-old producer Brad Falchuk, and her children she shares with Chris – daughter Apple, 16, and son Moses, 14. Brad is also dad to two teenage children, Isabella and Brody, with his former wife Suzanne.
The couple first met on the set of Glee back in 2010 and began dating in 2014. But they didn’t mix business with pleasure until last year when Gwyneth joined the cast of Brad’s show The Politician after much convincing from her husband.
The 47-year-old stars as the lead character’s mother Georgina Hobart in the comedy drama, which has just released its second series on Netflix.
However, back in January, Gwyneth revealed that she was “semi-retiring” from acting in order to focus on her wellness and lifestyle brand, Goop. And the business has gone from strength to strength, even bagging its own series on Netflix.
