Catherine was pictured in three relaxed poses, wearing different Alexander McQueen dresses and with her hair flowing.
The pictures were taken by celebrated fashion photographer Paolo Roversi, famed for working with industry stars like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, who revealed that in order to get the three images, he took “250 shots almost all in black and white. That number was winnowed down to “about 70,” and eventually to the three that were shared with the public. Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis even helped to make the final selection.
The Duchess celebrated her 40th birthday with a private family gathering at the family home in Norfolk. The birthday heralds the start of an important decade for the monarchy and the future queen, who will be at Prince William's side as events progress, watching her young family grow up and pursuing her own charitable interests.
