Come March 30, Australian legend Shane Warne will receive the public send-off he deserves, with a little help from his shattered family and wide circle of friends. On that day, the Melbourne Cricket

Ground, which bore witness to Warne’s unmatched sporting talents, will become the fitting setting for the father-of-three’s state funeral, an event attended by Australia’s sporting greats, political figures, local celebrities, adoring fans and the likes of British singers including Ed Sheeran and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who are expected to perform musical tributes in honour of their best mate. That event will follow a private family memorial service.

It’s his heartbroken family, including his three children Brooke, 24, Jackson, 22, and Summer, 20, who will be front and centre of consideration when it comes to planning his public send-off. Warne’s manager James Erskine told the Sydney Morning Herald he and the family had been overwhelmed by offers of help in planning the service.
