Apple Inc, the iconic tech company founded by the trio of Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne recently unleashed a slew of devices aimed at retaining its leadership as innovator and of course to retain its number one slot as the largest information technology company in the world by revenue. So here we give a deep look on Apple’s latest!
iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus
A decade ago, Apple’s baby iPhone was born, and 2017 being its 10th anniversary, Apple (with the backdrop singing ‘All You Need Is Love’), has given birth to its 2017 iteration of iPhone models- the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the most anticipated iPhone X. The official Apple event was held for the very first time at Steve Jobs Theatres in Cupertino.
Putting the innumerous leaks and speculations to rest, we have the 2017 iPhones with us. Starting with the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus, both the smartphones come with A11 Bionic chipset, run iOS 11, support the rumoured Qi wireless charging and Apple’s venture into AR capabilities. The iPhone 8 sports a 4.7-inch Retina HD True Tone display, while the iPhone 8 Plus features a 5.5-inch Retina HD True Tone one.
In the camera department, the iPhone 8 houses a 12-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilisation, and the iPhone 8 Plus on the other hand, is home to dual rear cameras, both rated at 12-megapixel each. The iPhone 8 Plus supports Portrait mode for Bokeh, in addition to which there is the new Portrait lighting which allows users to change the lighting of the image clicked. There is a 7-megapixel front shooter with Retina flash.
Both the smartphones come in 64GB and 256GB internal storage options and gold, silver and space grey colour variants. The devices will be up for grabs starting September 23. The iPhone 8 costs $699 (around Rs 44,700), while the iPhone 8 Plus is priced at $799 (around Rs 51,200).
