As the director of leading household kitchenware retailer and lifestyle store ToTT (Tools of The Trade), Grace Tan has turned many kitchenware brands into household names in Singapore
It all began with an idea to conceptualise a one-stop store that would offer discerning homeowners with everything they need to cook and host meals at home. The idea led Mr Tan Choon Boon, the chief executive of Sia Huat, which sells kitchenware to industrial kitchens, restaurants and chefs, to set up ToTT in October 2010.
His daughter Grace Tan was appointed to take on the directorship of the 36,000 square feet flagship store located along Dunearn Road, and she has since grown the business to include an e-commerce arm and a second outlet at Suntec City.
Today, eight years later, ToTT has established a reputation for offering exclusive cooking, baking and hosted related merchandise such as the Jamie Oliver range, Epicurean, Sous Vide Supreme and NordicWare that is not available at other kitchen and homeware stores in Singapore.
Apart from offering a wide variety of products that are only available exclusively at ToTT, Grace shares that the store also aspires to inspire people to cook, bake and host through a series of baking and cooking classes taught by experts in the industry.
