From the catwalk and studio shoots, to the small and silver screens, Max Rogers has walked and worked with fashion legends Tom Ford, Mario Testino and Vivienne Westwood, famous photographers Rankin and Craig McDean, and director Guy Ritchie.
As a high-fashion model, Max accomplished iconic status back in 2008 when he was named as ‘GQ Man for the Season’, while in 2014, he was recognised by models.com as one of the world’s top male models. When he’s not strutting his stuff on the runway or striking a pose for commercials for high-end clients, he’s been busy making his mark as actor, starring not only on TV, but on the big screen, in films including Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
But it doesn’t end there. Max boasts many more strings to his artistic bow, and is also known for his inspiring creativity behind the camera, producing short films and music videos, for which he has garnered awards. All this alongside his work as a fitness coach, for which he has created a unique fusion of effective exercises combining Pilates with calisthenics and bodyweight training. “The bodyweight training thing happened very organically. It’s always been part of my life as a model to keep healthy and ready for work, which led to a lot of people asking me for help with their training. Modelling affords you a lot of spare time, particularly off-season, so I took some of that time to get officially qualified as a Pilates coach and developed my bodyweight training method from there.”
Max’s ‘Method’ matches his sustainable outlook on life. “It doesn’t require lots of stuff/ equipment, and is tailored to each individual’s capability, maximising it for anyone and everyone,” he explains. “The philosophy is that it doesn’t matter what your body looks like, only what it can do.”
