I've Got It Fully Covered

AMATEUR gardeners have been encouraged to return to growing their own fruits by the release of compact bush, cane and tree cultivars suited to small gardens and containers. Smaller plant sizes also allows us to cover with Enviromesh, fleece and nets to protect blossoms and developing fruits from overnight frost. It also protects ripening apricots, blueberries, cherries, plums and soft fruits from birds and fruit fly (spotted wing drosophila). Fruit fly is an unwelcome arrival from southern Europe, which is making French cherry orchards unviable.
