Luxury costume jewellery brand Isharya completes 15 successful years in the industry, going from filling a gap to being highly sought after. Shruti Shende chats with owners Radhika and Gauri Tandon, reflecting on their journey.
Sisters-in-law, Radhika and Gauri Tandon, belonged to different cities (California and New Delhi, respectively) and educational backgrounds when they came together 15 years ago to fill the void in the market for a high-quality luxury jewellery brand. As a result, Isharya was born, and with time it gained popularity and prominence. With its unique take on intricate designs and concepts, the brand enjoys the patronage of several Bollywood actors and international stars including Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Kim Kardashian, and Katy Perry.
With its reach in more than 50 countries through h retailers like Neta-Porter, Henri Bendel, Saks Fifth Avenue, Stanley Korshak, and Galeries Lafayette, Isharya is renowned worldwide for its signature hand-cut mirror work, chandelier earrings, jewel- encrusted cuffs, and cocktail rings. Last year, the brand fortified its presence in India with its maiden store in Mumbai, followed by its second shop in New Delhi. The designer-duo talks to us about their sustainability mantra and what lies ahead.
