Renuka Shahane may not be seen in the public eye often, but grabs sufficient eyeballs when she chooses to speak on a topic of importance. She chats with Nikshubha Garg about the art of using social media, trolling, and why being guarded is also a valid way of living.

“I have always been vocal, just never had the platform,” she quips as we speak about the prominent voice she has come to become on social media. Renuka Shahane, who is best remembered for her portrayal of Pooja in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! is far from what we think of her as a consequence of the films she has been associated with. “One is slotted in a certain way in people’s minds, and you might be more than that as a human being. What I am on social media is what Renuka is like. I have opinions and tend to voice them,” she states.
